About me:

Megan Nguyen is a Singer, Songwriter, Pianist, Music Director, and Educator in San Diego, CA.

Megan graduated from UCSD in 2017, and has since been a sought after performer, session musician, music director, and teacher. She is classically trained in piano performance and music theory, completing her California Certificate of Merit, Level 10 (Advanced) in 2012, and has experience playing many different genres including pop, rock, reggae, musical theater, jazz, and more. 

Megan has gained experience working in the music industry as a production manager, stage manager, and marketing director for music events and concerts. She has also spent time working in organizations that focus on increasing accessibility to music education at high schools, colleges, and in communities around Southern California. 

Megan has performed in many iconic venues in Southern California, including the Balboa Theater, Lou Lou's, The Belly Up Tavern, Whisky A Go-Go (Hollywood), California Center for the Arts in Escondido, Soda Bar, Humphrey’s Backstage Live, Oceanside’s Brooks Theater, Sea Legs (Huntington Beach), Casinos (Sycuan, Jamul, Pala, Viejas), Beacon Grand Hotel and Hyatt Regency in San Francisco, and at the One Love Music Festival at Queen Mary’s in Long Beach. She also plays corporate events as a solo musician and with bands at numerous local venues and weddings, and has played/sang in Worship groups that travel around the US. She is also a session musician for local artists on piano, vocals, and music direction. 

Since 2022, Megan has been connecting with audiences across the country as a soloist with the Strolling Piano (a piano that moves!), traveling to over 15 different state and county fairs in California, Washington, New Mexico, Idaho, Missouri, and Michigan. She also started doing digital DJ gigs through the Strolling DJ part of their company.
